Carol Reitter Elia, ASID, LEED-AP

Carol Reitter Elia, ASID, LEED-AP is Founder and Principal of the Philadelphia based firm, CR Design, which specializes in exceptional interior design, creative problem solving and space planning solutions, outstanding project outcomes and overall efficiency!

 

CR DESIGN specializes in Design for Senior Environments, Healthcare, and Education.  She also serves the Corporate sector designing offices for clients such as Dow Jones and the Kendal Corporation.  She and her firm strive to blend function and aesthetics into every design for the health, safety and well-being of their occupants, including residents and staff.  

 

For over a decade, Carol, principal and founder of CR DESIGN, has been a guest speaker and CEU provider for Neocon, the interior design industry international annual trade show in Chicago, IL.  She is also a guest speaker at other annual events, such as Environments for Aging Conference, and is often a judge for the annual Showcase Edition for the EFA Magazine, where she has published articles on design for the aging.  She is an active member of SAGE, the Society for the Advancement of Gerentological Environments and she is a LEED-AP accredited designer.  Carol has also been a presenter at Leading Age, another industry conference that serves Non-Profit Senior Living Communities.

Ms. Elia is a former Vice President of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the ASID and is a founding member of the Interior Design Legislative Coalition of Pennsylvania (IDLC/PA). 

 

Ms. Elia has been an adjunct professor at Philadelphia University and at Moore College of Art where she currently serves and has been serving on the Advisory Board for over ten years.  Carol is passionate about studesnts and engages with students often, hiring interns and making guest appearances to speak with students in the local collegiate interior design programs in her area.
